Great Greek Mythology

Zeus, the God of the Sky

Zeus is the Greek God of the Gods and Lightning. He is also God of the Sky. Zeus is one of the 12 Olympians. He is also the brother of Poseidon and Hades. Poseidon is the God of the Ocean and Hades is the God of death. Zeus's father ate all his siblings because he was scared they would over rule him.  Zeus grew up in secrecy so that he could grow up and defeat his father, Cronos. When he was grown up, Zeus went to his father and made him throw up the other children. Together, the Gods and Goddesses defeated Cronos and began their rule over Olympus. Zeus lives in his "castle" on Mt. Olympus where he keeps both the mortal world and Olympus under control.
