Sacrifices to the Gods

    The ancient Greeks believe if you sacrificed certain animals, the gods would thank the people with their special abilities. Sacrificing was a very special tradition  to the Greeks. It was their way of thanking the gods for the weather, good farming, etc. The Greeks also thought the gods would give them another good year. Sometimes celebrations were held with the sacrifice. What an interesting way to thank someone!
